About This Course

Welcome to the Generating batch with Blu Age training course!

This training course is designed for consultants, architects, and developers. It teaches how to model and generate batches using Blu Age with a Model Driven Architecture (MDA) approach.


This training course is based on online video training, and you will use a virtual machine that is located on the cloud environment for your hands-on practice.

Hands-on exercises included: batch modeling and generation with .NET + SummerBatch framework.

Learning Objectives

  • Learning how to model a batch program in order to generate it with the Blu Age Forward generator;
  • Understanding and practicing batch modeling with Blu Age.


The prerequisites include hands-on experience in Java or .NET development, a basic knowledge of UML 2.X and HTML, and a developer level on Eclipse (at least 6 months experience).

Jean-Luc Recoussine

Jean-Luc Recoussine is the manager of the Blu Age Institute. He joined Netfective Technology in 2001 as a Project Manager and Project Director. He has successfully led Model Driven application development projects with Blu Age and has actively contributed to the overall enhancement of Blu Age Model Driven Modernization tools. He is now an expert in model driven application transformation using Blu Age tools and the methodology. He also has extensive knowledge in UML. Jean-Luc moved to the U.S. in 2011 after spending 6 years in the Blu Age Center of Casablanca (Morocco) where he was member of the founding team and in charge of setting up the Blu Age Support Center. Jean-Luc's main strategic goals are to develop the knowledge of Blu Age and its related methodology for Legacy Model Driven Modernization within Blu Age user community.
